How to Season Your Dosa Tawa for Best Results

 

  1. First Use: Wash with soap, apply oil, heat, and fry onions to season the tawa.
  2. Pouring Batter: Test temperature with water, then spread batter. Add 2-3 drops of ghee and spread with onion. Keep flame low.
  3. Cooking: Add more ghee, increase flame, and cook. If it sticks, wait until it’s done.
  4. Post-Use Care: Avoid soap; just wipe clean. The more you use it, the better the seasoning.
  5. Final Tip: Always dry and oil the tawa after washing. Soap removes the seasoning.
